Connect the legs to the carriage. Screw through the front 1x6 to connect the legs to the carriage. Then align the back of the carriage to the top of the 2x6 leg. Counter-bore and screw through the leg to secure the back of the carriage. Two 2 1/2-inch screws carefully driven into the 1x4 at the back of the carriage will ensure a solid assembly.
